Mark began his career at the Estates Department of The University of Liverpool. It is here where he studied his BSc in Building Surveying part-time then went on to become a Chartered Surveyor. After a two year spell client-side, Mark joined a Private Practice firm and has continued in Private Practice to this day.

Mark is a Director at Wilkinson Cowan Partnership with over 30 years’ experience within the industry. Mark has amassed an extensive track record in the delivery of both projects and site surveys.

During his career Mark has gained a wide range of experience of Collaborative Working with various councils and other clients.

Mark prides himself with his ability to build and maintain harmonious relationships and work effectively within a team or alone acting on his own initiative. This has developed over the years where he has both client-side and consultant-side experience. He is very adaptable and flexible, capable of thinking logically and creatively, explaining ideas, tasks and information clearly and concisely.

Having ran his own practice for ten years, Mark is self-disciplined and organized; he can cope with a variety of tasks; he enjoys a challenge and working accurately under pressure to meet set targets, time schedules and budgets. Mark is enthusiastic, has a proactive personality, and enjoys nurturing long-term industry relationships with clients.

Mark makes the most of his spare time and spends much of it with his wife and two children. Mark ran his sons junior football team for many years and also accompanied his family with regular trips to the local gym.

Mark still plays 5-a-side football with a group of former junior football coaches every Monday evening, indoors only!

Mark enjoys cooking for his family at weekends and is an active member of CAMRA.

He also enjoys listening to music, especially on his vinyl’s.

An avid reader, Mark has read many fiction and factual books. The factual books provide an endless stream of useless information, ideal for CAMRA nights out.
