After leaving school at the age of 15 years old Jeff obtained an apprenticeship with a local family building contractor as an apprentice bricklayer, attending the local college achieving City & Guilds bricklaying.
Jeff gained experience working on various types of construction projects including housing construction, engineering bridge & road construction, public sector hospitals & schools, factory units plus various maintenance projects.
Jeff decided to go back to college to achieve H N C construction studies, including a certificate and diploma in site management and a diploma in maintenance management. These qualifications helped pave the way to achieve his A C I O B, and finally distance learning college to achieve M C I O B and a Degree.
Jeff has a wealth of experience which covers a wide range of construction work from site supervision, management, training apprentices in bricklaying, maintenance management and a property service surveyor. More recently Jeff was a building officer for the N H S in charge of construction workshops and is now clerk of works in social housing for our team at Wilkinson Cowan Partnership Ltd.
Personal
Jeff is a family orientated man who really enjoys taking care of and spending quality time with his grandchildren who particularly like making bread with him!
He enjoys keeping fit and spends a lot of his spare time walking, running and going to the gym; Jeff loves any kind of sports. Jeff is also a keen gardener. Jeff is involved with St Bartholomew’s Church in Chipping were he undertakes bell ringing on Sundays and attend practices on Thursday evenings.
