David’s experience within the construction industry began in 1988, since then he has meticulously overseen projects of varying scales and complexities, ranging from government agencies to healthcare, education, ecclesiastical, commercial, and domestic clients. His contributions to the industry position him as a seasoned professional with a broad spectrum of expertise.
David has been an integral part of the WCP family since joining in 1997, consistently delivering a diverse portfolio of projects. His career record encompasses everything from modest, single developments to comprehensive estate-wide regenerations. David’s experience extends across different architectural styles, encompassing low-rise, high-rise, new builds (including Modern Methods of Construction), and Passivhaus developments, as well as numerous refurbishment and heritage preservation projects.
A pivotal role in David’s career was addressing tough challenges during the execution of a large extra care scheme. Through his skilled application of knowledge and expertise, he navigated complexities, managed timelines, and controlled budgets, ensuring the successful completion of the project.
Looking ahead, David envisions a future filled with diverse projects, alongside his commitment to mentor and guide the younger generation within the team, nurturing their growth and development.
Beyond his professional commitments, David is deeply engaged in community initiatives. He is a co-founder of a charity, securing the future of his local community library, and until recently served as a dedicated Secondary School Governor, where he held the position of Vice Chair for nine years. These endeavours underscore his unwavering commitment to both his career and his community.
