James has been an integral part of the construction industry since 2009. In 2013, he embarked on a journey to become a Chartered Building Surveyor. Throughout his career, he has exhibited his versatility by working across various sectors, including education, manufacturing, mental and physical healthcare, catering, ecclesiastical, commercial, and residential domains.
James joined the WCP team in 2015, bringing with him a blend of expertise, encompassing traditional Building Surveying services, Contract Administration, and Party Wall Surveying, among others.
A standout achievement in James’s career is his attainment of Chartered status across multiple professional institutes, aligning perfectly with the range of services he can provide. James gets great satisfaction from using his experience and accreditations to mentor and support aspiring professionals through their APCs and professional reviews, paving the way for them to achieve their own charterships. Presently, he is in the process of becoming an RICS APC Assessor and serves as a mentor for CIOB candidates.
James’s role brings him the gratification of not only assisting individuals and organisations in ensuring that the built environments are fit for their intended purposes but also aiding junior Surveyors in enhancing their skills within WCP. Beyond work life, James enjoys a range of hobbies including a passion for rebuilding classic cars, karting, and showcasing his musical skills by playing various instruments. To balance his interests, he stays active through running, swimming, and cycling – a necessity, given his affection for fish and chips!
